 How to Zentangle Video ( 2 min)

Students can watch videos on their phones, there are books and sample zentangles at the front of the room. Students can practice some designs before they get started on the Cupcake Assignment.

 Working on today in order of priority:

• finish doodles and hand in for marking along with folder
• make sure all photo assignment are completed, edited and put into the proper folders
• work on cartoon character
• Sign in to Canva and upload your scavenger hunt and nature photos
• Finished all this, come see me for pattern sheets

 Today's Assignment

Scavenger HUNT: create folder

• red
• round
• triangle
• rule of thirds
• duck/frog/flamingo

When finished upload and edit in Photoshop, then continue working on doodles which need to be finished by Friday of this week.

Mon May 12

 Teach the students how to upload photos from their phones.

Steps: 

1. Get a phone cable for your phone at the front
2. plug  it into your phone, into the usb in the computer
3. Go to your phone login and allow
4. Then you will go to this PC and you should see your phone, may say Apple phone, click on this and go to internal storage, a bunch of folders will appear
5. go to the folder that has 2025 09 which is photos you have taken in Sept
6. .find the photos you have taken copy/paste
7. go to your mdrive folder under Chase Media Arts and right click create a new folder, call this folder hunt 1, create another called Nature. In the nature folder open and paste in your photos.

Understanding Composition in Photography

Rule of thirds, leading lines, framing, pattern, symmetry angles.

 Each person needs to compose and takes their own photos!

Today's assignment: You are to take 5 well composed and interesting shots with a focus on nature. In order to do this you should take at least 10 shots minimum. Think about the shots before you take them. (10 marks)

Mon May 5

 New Assignment: Headshots: Take 4 headshots, 4 different people and one of yourself. Upload and put into a folder called HEADSHOTS. Total photos 5 EDIT ON YOUR PHONE BY CRPPING TO THE RIGHT DIMENSIONS. TAKE THE PHOTS OUTDOORS.

Steps for uploading:

1. get a phone cable from the teacher

2. Plug the usb into the computer

3. Plug the other end into your phone

4. an allow button should pop up on your phone, click allow

5. Then look for your phone on the left side of the screen where all of the drives are located. (This PC)

6. Click on and you will be brought to a folder called INTERNAL STORAGE click on this, and a lot of folders will be brought up. Move all the way down to the last folder which will be the most recent. You should see the photos you just took.

7. Select the 5 photos and right click COPY, go to Chase Media Arts8/your name MDrive folder, then click EDIT PASTE.

Come see me if you have problems doing this. 

When finished continue working on your doodles.
